Sandy’s Magical Web

Sandy, the little spirit wished upon a star to see the world through brand new eyes!

“Careful what you wish for hummed the star! Some worlds are full of lies”

“I’ll be able to find the truth,” said Sandy confidently!

“Then I’ll teach everyone else there, how the truth to see!”

Sandy whizzed down into a vortex and shot out the other end.

When she opened up her eyes, she met her brand new friend!

“Aloha dearest Sandy! I am your mum.” The big spider said.

“Within your body you hold a unique silky thread. Let me show you how to make your very own web!”

Mum spider weaved a web more magnificent than Sandy had ever seen!

Sandy’s webs were somewhat patchy with uneven gaps in between.

Mum spider spent countless days repairing Sandy’s webs, using her own threads to fix the seams.

Sandy went to school and was taught how best to weave her thread.

But it started to get boring once she had learned everything they said.

Now, Sandy’s webs were different to everyone else.

This was certainly for sure!

In fact everyone kept trying to correct her BUT Sandy liked hers MORE!

Sometimes, Sandy worried what others thought, and this made her feel unsure…

Sandy weaved webs with her friends, but held back the full potential that she had.

Deep down on the inside this was driving Sandy mad!

One day on returning home to find her mum had “fixed” her threads of art.

Sandy looked her mum square in the eye and stated,

“I don’t want you to change the creations I weave from my heart!”

Sandy had so much built up and restrained thread stored deep within her core!

All of a sudden it all started flowing out and she wove freely and intuitively like she did as a baby spider once more!

It felt so liberating and boundless weaving unique creations, each one new!

The other spiders watched Sandy create her magic web,

And they were ALL inspired to weave freely too!
